THE 6.2 DENALI. THE ONE WITH ADAPTIVE RIDE CONTROL AND THE COOLED SEATS.
There are a lot of half ton trucks. There are very few that come with the 6.2 liter EcoTec3 V8, the ten speed automatic, Adaptive Ride Control suspension, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and a Bose system standing behind you. That is what GMC put in the Denali, and that is what is parked on our lot with 59,870 miles on it.
Start with the history, because that is where trucks get eliminated. CARFAX reports no accidents, no damage, and no structural damage. Nine service history records and 19 detailed records. No open recalls reported to CARFAX. The oil and filter were changed at 14,072, 18,859, 27,744, 31,645, 38,088, 41,188, 47,468, 56,844 and again at 59,867 miles, and almost every one of those visits carries a maintenance inspection completed and recommended maintenance performed note beside it. The air filter was replaced at 27,744. The fuel system was cleaned and the wipers replaced at 56,844. The first owner kept it from new to 47,468 miles and averaged 9,833 miles a year. The original factory warranty is estimated to have expired, so plan on that.
Now sit in it. Forge perforated leather appointed front buckets, ten way power with lumbar on both sides, driver memory, genuine wood on the console and the door panels. On an August afternoon coming back from Sacajawea you run the ventilated seats. In January you run the heated fronts, the heated outboard rear seats for whoever is back there, and the heated steering wheel. Dual zone automatic climate. Wireless charging for the phone, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the premium GMC infotainment screen with built in navigation, and the Bose seven speaker system doing the rest.
Then drive it. The 6.2 has the kind of low end shove that makes merging onto I-182 a non event, and Adaptive Ride Control reads the road and softens the empty bed hop that half tons are famous for. Hill Descent Control for the grade down to the river. Four wheel drive with a heavy duty rear locking differential for the two track to the duck blind.
It is set up to work, too. Trailering package, integrated trailer brake controller, Hitch Guidance with Hitch View, the in-vehicle trailering app, an auxiliary external transmission oil cooler, a high capacity air filter, chrome recovery hooks, spray on bedliner with the Denali logo, LED cargo area lighting, 120 volt outlets in the bed and on the instrument panel, and a 12 volt in the back.
Driver Alert Package I brings Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and the Safety Alert Seat that buzzes the side you need to look at. Add the HD rear vision camera, ultrasonic front and rear park assist, auto dimming inside and outside mirrors, remote start, keyless open and start, universal home remote, and the power sliding rear window with its own defogger.
Black paint, the signature Denali grille, chrome assist steps, deep tinted glass, and 20 by 9 inch multi dimensional polished aluminum wheels. This is the truck you buy when you are done apologizing for driving a truck.
See it at Archibald's, 6902 W Clearwater Ave in Kennewick. Call 509-737-1199 and ask for the black Denali.
A negotiable documentary service fee of $200.00 may apply to each purchase.
