Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price was $26,380.00. Options were 50 State Emissions and All Weather Floor Liners with a Cargo Liner at $268.00. With the $930.00 delivery, processing and handling fee, the total came to $27,578.00.
WHY AWD-e MATTERS
This is not a badge. Toyota fits a separate electric motor to the rear axle that engages automatically from a standstill up to about 43 mph, exactly the speed range where you actually need traction on a wet or icy morning. There is no driveshaft, no transfer case, no penalty at the pump. You get 50 MPG combined and all wheel drive in the same car, which almost nothing else on the road manages.

Eighteen service records. It started in Wisconsin and came to Kennewick in February 2021, and from that point Toyota of Tri-Cities handled essentially all of it: services at 14,984, 20,071, 24,430, 29,977, 36,451, 42,610, 51,118 and 58,551 miles, oil and filter and tire rotation every time, with a four wheel alignment at 42,610 and air and cabin filters at 29,977. Tires were replaced at 40,477 and 40,724.
THE HONEST PART
The factory basic warranty has expired and the odometer reads 73,658 miles. Hybrid batteries in this generation of Prius have an excellent track record, but have your own mechanic scan it if that gives you peace of mind. We would rather you buy it knowing.
