JAVA BROWN LEATHER. NOT ANOTHER BLACK INTERIOR.
Open the door on this one and it does not look like every other crossover in the parking lot. Java is Subaru's warm brown, and against Magnetite Gray paint it reads more like something with a German badge than a wagon you take to the trailhead. It also does not show every crumb the way black does.
This is a 2021 Subaru Outback Touring in Magnetite Gray Metallic over Java Nappa leather, symmetrical all wheel drive, 2.5 liter four cylinder with the Lineartronic CVT. The odometer reads 73,541 miles.
The thing that makes this one genuinely easy to live with is Active Cruise Control. Set it heading over the pass to Seattle, let it hold the gap through the traffic, and get out of the car at the other end without the low grade fatigue of managing your own following distance for four hours. On a car you actually road trip, that feature is worth more than most of the badges on the tailgate.
Inside, Touring means Nappa leather trimmed upholstery, heated AND ventilated front bucket seats, heated rear seats, a heated leather wrapped steering wheel, memory for the seat and climate settings, and power seats on both sides.
